Software Engineer (React Native)

About the role

Epignosis, a Greek SaaS company behind TalentLMS, eFront, TalentCards and TalentHR, is looking for a Software Engineer to help rebuild its mobile apps from scratch with React Native, Expo and TypeScript, replacing legacy native apps. The squad is still shaping the foundations, so you will have direct input into how the product is architected, built and shipped. Prior React Native experience is not required: strong React fundamentals, sound engineering judgment and a willingness to learn matter more.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship user-facing features for TalentLMS with React Native and TypeScript.
• Own medium-sized features end to end: understand the problem, break it down, estimate, implement, test, release and monitor performance in production.
• Work closely with Product and Design, turning product ideas into usable solutions.
• Investigate production issues, crashes, regressions and performance problems.
• Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests and validate work across iOS and Android.
• Own app releases from store submission through rollout monitoring on the App Store and Google Play.
• Improve app foundations: performance, accessibility, stability, push notifications, deep links and developer experience.
• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions and engineering practice improvements, and share knowledge with the team.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ability to break down technical work, make trade-offs and deliver with limited guidance, with a sense of ownership over code and products.
• Product mindset, curiosity and comfort giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools while keeping ownership of engineering decisions.

Required skills

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React fundamentals.
• Component design, state, data flow and modern frontend practices.
• State management such as Redux or similar.
• REST APIs and automated testing.
• Git, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD and automated delivery.
• Nice to have: React Native, Expo, Swift/Kotlin, offline-first apps, mobile accessibility, push notifications and deep linking.
