Generalist, Product-Minded Software Engineer (Junior - Mid Level)

About the role

Epignosis, a Greek SaaS company behind products such as TalentLMS, eFront, TalentCards and TalentHR, is hiring a Generalist, Product-Minded Software Engineer (junior to mid level) in Athens. The role is hybrid and sits in the Research department. You will own product development end to end, from understanding the problem to building, launching and iterating, and will work hands-on with AI and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Own product development end to end, from problem definition and solution shaping to building, launch and iteration.
• Analyse user and stakeholder feedback and turn it into practical product improvements.
• Turn ambiguous ideas into clear priorities, focused scopes and working prototypes.
• Shape UI and user experiences with attention to clarity, consistency and craft.
• Build across the stack, covering frontend, backend, integrations and infrastructure as needed.
• Make trade-offs between speed, quality and scope, and collaborate with design, product and business teams.
• Ship reliable, intuitive experiences and own testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
• Measure product performance, learn from real usage and take responsibility for outcomes.

Required profile

• A builder who has turned ideas into working software and can show projects.
• A feel for great software and excellent UI/UX, noticing the details that make products intuitive.
• Product thinking: understanding the user's problem, questioning assumptions and deciding what is worth building.
• Exceptional engineering skills for your experience level.

Bonus points: experience across multiple technologies and programming paradigms, familiarity with asynchronous programming, and open-source contributions.
