About the role
We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join Light & Wonder’s iGaming platform team. You will help design, develop and maintain high‑performance services that power some of the world’s largest online gaming providers.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement new functionality following established coding standards.
- Write unit and integration tests for your code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Work through all phases of the software development life‑cycle, from design to deployment.
- Refactor existing code to improve reliability, performance and operability.
- Collaborate in an agile, self‑organising team delivering value in two‑week sprints.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Proven experience working in agile teams.
- Hands‑on experience building RESTful services with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with both relational (SQL, DDL, ACID) and non‑relational databases.
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
