Senior HR Business Partner – Fintech

About the role

Optasia is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to lead people strategy for its fast‑growing fintech operations across Africa and Asia. The role will act as the primary HR liaison for employees and leaders in the assigned region, driving alignment between talent initiatives and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for employees and leaders in the region.
• Partner with senior business leaders to design and execute people strategies that support growth, organization design, and workforce planning.
• Provide coaching and trusted guidance on performance, engagement, talent planning, succession, change management and complex employee relations.
• Use people data and business insights to diagnose organizational issues and recommend actions that improve retention, productivity and leadership capability.
• Support leaders through organizational change, including restructures, operating model shifts, role clarity and communication planning.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Payroll and People Operations to ensure a consistent employee experience.
• Lead annual people cycles such as performance reviews, talent reviews, promotions, workforce planning and compensation discussions.
• Ensure local HR practices comply with employment legislation, internal policy and Optasia’s values.
• Drive continuous improvement of People team frameworks, policies and manager enablement tools for international scale.

Required profile

• 8 + years of HR experience, including at least 4 years in HR Business Partnering within high‑growth, international, technology‑led or fintech environments.
• Proven ability to operate across multiple markets and influence senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of startup and scale‑up culture and the ability to navigate rapid change.
• Excellent analytical mindset with experience using people data to drive decisions.
