Senior C++ Software Engineer

About the role

Ai2C Technologies AG, a Swiss start-up that has recently expanded to Athens, is looking for an experienced Senior C++ Developer. The company uses machine learning to transform and optimise the DeepTech finance industry, and is building a C++-based system with demanding requirements. You will design, develop and optimise high-performance applications using modern C++ on Linux, tackling multi-threading and distributed systems challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise high-performance, soft real-time distributed systems in C++ on Linux.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in C++ software development on competitive projects.
• Experience with C++17 and beyond, and modern C++ paradigms such as RAII, move semantics, smart pointers, constexpr and future/promise.
• Deep understanding of multi-threading, including mutexes, condition variables and atomics.
• Experience troubleshooting complex concurrency and memory management issues.
• Knowledge of Linux and build tools such as CMake and git.
• Fluent English and solid teamwork skills.
