IT Support Engineer - Village Roadshow Operation Greece

About the role

Village Roadshow, a member of Antenna Group and known for its cinema chain, is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join its team in Athens. The role covers day-to-day technical operations across corporate offices and cinema locations, provides advanced user support and contributes to infrastructure improvements and IT projects. It suits an experienced IT professional who works independently but collaborates closely with the IT Manager and external technology partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide second-line technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, networks and applications across corporate offices and cinema sites
• Own technical incidents and service requests, coordinating with vendors or third parties when escalation is needed
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, POS systems, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment
• Maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switching, firewall and internet connectivity across multiple locations
• Assist with administration and monitoring of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
• Manage user accounts, permissions and security groups in line with security policies and GDPR
• Handle onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, access management and equipment preparation
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure, configurations, assets, licenses, warranties and support procedures
• Contribute to automation, process improvements and IT projects such as deployments, migrations, network upgrades and cloud adoption
• Evaluate new technologies and support junior team members and end users

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration or a similar technical role
• Experience in a multi-site IT environment is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail, hospitality or cinema technology is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft 365
• TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VPNs and firewalls
• Basic knowledge of virtualization, cloud platforms, endpoint management or IT security is an advantage
