Commis Chef

About the role

LUURA Paros Cliff, a luxury hotel with 39 rooms overlooking the Aegean, is looking for a Commis Chef to join its kitchen team. You will support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in delivering high-quality, beautifully presented dishes at Mimi Kakushi or Lenea All Day Dining, helping keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and follow their menu specifications and preparation methods.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in line with LUURA food safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare daily mise en place and assist with food production across kitchen sections.
• Measure, mix and prepare ingredients, sauces and seasonings accurately; wash, peel, chop and cut produce and meat.
• Prepare basic salads, sauces and side dishes under supervision, and plate dishes to the Chef de Partie's instructions.
• Receive and verify deliveries, monitor inventory and report low stock to Superiors.
• Dispose of spoiled or expired food in line with LUURA and RIKAS sanitation policies.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections on cleanliness, waste reduction and cost control, and assist with basic cleaning.
• Report equipment or supply issues promptly and contribute to developing culinary knowledge and skills.

Required profile

• Technical degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a relevant culinary specialty.
• Previous experience in a high-end or luxury kitchen is preferred (1-3 years ideal).
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Eligible to work in an EU country.
