Senior Associate Lawyer – Banking & Financial Regulation

About the role

KG Law Firm is seeking a motivated Senior Associate Lawyer to join its Banking & Financial Regulation practice. You will work with domestic and international financial institutions, investment firms, payment service providers and corporates on a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex client matters and lead workstreams across banking and finance transactions.
• Provide regulatory advice to banks, payment institutions, electronic money institutions and other regulated entities.
• Handle licensing, compliance and supervisory matters, including fintech and digital finance developments.
• Conduct transactional and regulatory due‑diligence exercises and support corporate governance investigations.
• Lead ESG and sustainable finance mandates and coordinate cross‑border projects with international clients and advisors.
• Maintain day‑to‑day client relationships, mentor junior lawyers and collaborate closely with partners.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in Greece with 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in banking, finance and financial regulation; experience with payments, electronic money or fintech is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters, coordinate teams and interact directly with clients.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills in Greek and English.
• Analytical mindset, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience in a leading or international law firm or a financial institution is desirable.
• Post‑graduate studies or dual qualification (e.g., Solicitor of England and Wales) are advantageous.
