Real Estate Lawyer – International Law Firm (Athens)

About the role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join the Real Estate practice of a leading international law firm in its Athens office. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team advising on complex, high‑value domestic and cross‑border real estate matters, working with premium clients and leading practitioners in a collaborative, commercially focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Real estate acquisitions and disposals
• Commercial leasing and asset management
• Real estate aspects of M&A and corporate transactions
• Development projects and construction‑related matters
• Real estate finance and secured lending transactions
• Due diligence exercises and title investigations
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documentation
• Advising domestic and international clients on regulatory and structuring issues

Required profile

• Qualification as a lawyer in Greece (or another relevant jurisdiction with strong Greek real estate experience)
• Approximately 4–8+ years post‑qualification experience, depending on level
• Strong experience in real estate transactions, ideally gained at a leading law firm
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic problem‑solving ability
• Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Experience working with multinational or institutional clients is highly desirable
• Fluent Greek and English, both written and spoken
