Reservations Agent

About the role

Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the leading hotel chain in Greece, is hiring a Reservations Agent in Kos. The agent handles incoming reservations by phone and email, answers guest questions about rooms and rates, and works closely with other departments to make sure guest requests are handled correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservation calls and emails, enter guest details accurately into the reservation system and provide excellent customer service
• Answer guest inquiries about room availability, rates, amenities and promotions
• Assist guests with modifications or cancellations to existing reservations
• Coordinate with other departments so that guest requests and special arrangements are communicated and implemented
• Process payment transactions and check the accuracy of billing and financial documentation
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services and local attractions to give personalised recommendations
• Handle guest complaints professionally and empathetically, working towards a satisfactory resolution

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in hotel reservations or customer service is an asset
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and computer systems and software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving skills and composure under pressure
