Regional Tax Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Tax Lead to join our Tax Department in Athens, Greece. The role will focus on ensuring tax compliance, reporting and risk management across multiple jurisdictions while collaborating closely with the headquarters and local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor accurate and timely tax filings and payments in assigned jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with local regulations and Group standards.
• Prepare and deliver tax reports for the headquarters tax team.
• Maintain organized documentation for tax filings, audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Collaborate with local tax accountants, advisors and Finance Managers, as well as the HQ tax team.
• Support internal and external tax audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations.
• Identify and recommend improvements to tax reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Proactively manage tax risks, advising on legislative and policy changes within the region.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a tax role, preferably within a multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and compliance practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus.
• Fluent in English; Greek is an asset.
