Accountant – Client Relations & Tax Advisory

About the role

Intellectica is seeking a motivated Accountant to join the Accounting & Tax team of an established advisory firm based in Piraeus, Attiki, Greece. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining client relationships and ensuring all accounting and tax obligations are met efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.
• Review journal entries (Category C books) and prepare financial statements in compliance with Greek GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and annual tax returns, including VAT and income tax, using internal systems.
• Conduct regular client meetings to discuss performance and provide advice.
• Utilize accounting software to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, providing proactive advice to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and tax advisory services.
• Proficiency in Greek GAAP; exposure to IFRS is desired.
• Extensive experience in tax processing.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
