Plumber - Hotel Engineering

About the role

Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is looking for a skilled and motivated Plumber to join its Engineering Department in a permanent position. The role maintains and repairs the hotel's plumbing systems and supports the upkeep of guestrooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities, working closely with the Engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the Rules and Regulations of the Employees Handbook and the hotel's fire, hygiene, health and safety policies.
• Handle guest and employee maintenance requests courteously and efficiently, with prompt follow-up when needed.
• Repair bathroom plumbing, replace or fix leaking faucets and damaged sinks, and unclog toilets, showers and sink drains.
• Perform preventive maintenance in guestrooms and public areas.
• Repair equipment brought to the Engineering workshop by other departments.
• Estimate materials needed for projects and requisition them when necessary.
• Maintain records, logs and reports of work performed and materials used.
• Assist with installing or relocating equipment, and respond to work orders, room inspection reports and emergencies such as fires or power failures.
• Report damages found across the resort through the Engineering reporting systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a plumber in a hotel, commercial building or similar environment.
• European passport or legal right to work in Greece.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative Engineering team.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, preventive maintenance and repair techniques.
• Good troubleshooting, organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
• Good communication skills and a guest-oriented approach.

Schedule: permanent position, five working days per week with two days off; schedule may vary according to operational needs.
