Mechanical Engineer / Naval Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Naval Architect to join our fast‑growing, innovative company. The role focuses on designing and developing cable handling equipment for offshore cable installation and protection projects, from small components to large structures.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and engineering designs for marine equipment.
• Validate designs through load, stress, tolerance, and environmental analyses, using hand calculations or finite element analysis (FEA).
• Prepare Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Support continuous asset improvement, innovation, and the delivery of current and future project requirements.
• Conduct research and development at concept level, covering the full lifecycle from design to commissioning and maintenance.
• Perform FEM studies for forces, moments, material selection, and structural reinforcement.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and FEA analysis.
• Experience in marine equipment, offshore, shipbuilding, or heavy structural design is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of core engineering concepts and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent oral and written communication in both Greek and English.

• Knowledge of Rhino (advantage)
• Knowledge of 3ds Max or similar animation tools (advantage)
