About the role
The Assistant Vessel Manager supports the Marine Field by assisting Vessel Managers in the day‑to‑day operation of a fleet of vessels. This role ensures technical, maintenance, regulatory and financial aspects run smoothly, contributing to a safe and cost‑effective platform that operates 24/7.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Vessel Managers with technical performance, critical equipment oversight and spare parts management.
- Support planning and execution of yard stays, pit‑stop activities and marine subcontractor coordination.
- Supervise and coordinate planned maintenance status and ensure proper documentation archiving.
- Help with OPEX budgeting, CAPEX input preparation and financial performance tracking.
- Coordinate crew manning with HR/Crewing, ensuring compliance with crew management guidelines.
- Support QHSE compliance, SMS adherence, and investigations of marine events, driving corrective actions and lessons learned.
Required profile
- BEng or equivalent in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- 1‑3 years of experience in a similar vessel management role; sea‑going experience is a strong asset.
- Clear oral and written communication in English.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
