Legal EEMEA Counsel

About the role

Barilla is seeking a Legal EEMEA Counsel to support its business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role will provide commercial, contractual, corporate and regulatory advice, work closely with regional and global legal teams, and help protect the company's interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to regional teams based on business requests.
• Implement and monitor local legal strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Support the corporate department on local governance matters, board and shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and legal entity management.
• Manage training programs for regional employees on antitrust, compliance, intellectual property and contract management.
• Develop practical legal guidance documents, templates and FAQs for common regional issues.
• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of regional compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and support internal audits and investigations.
• Draft, negotiate and review contracts and agreements, including supplier, distributor, services, NDAs and partnership agreements.
• Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Provide training and guidance on contract management and negotiation.
• Oversee litigation, arbitration and other dispute‑resolution processes within the region.
• Support the management of the regional intellectual property portfolio.
