Legal Associate – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Associate to work closely with our teams and support the day‑to‑day legal and compliance needs of our fast‑growing international business. Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage standard contracts (NDAs, commercial agreements with clients and suppliers, and more) to support day‑to‑day business operations and provide legal input for RFPs.
• Manage corporate governance for Upstream group companies worldwide, including drafting Board of Directors and General Assembly resolutions, annual filings, and local compliance matters.
• Provide legal support on personal data protection and privacy matters, including reviewing data processing agreements and supporting compliance with applicable data protection legislation.
• Assist with compliance projects of varying scope, exercising independent judgment and decision‑making.
• Partner with Finance, Account Management, Business Planning, Procurement, HR, and other teams, providing clear, actionable legal guidance.

Required profile

• Top‑tier academic background in law; postgraduate qualifications are required.
• 2‑4 years of experience, preferably in‑house or in a law firm, practicing corporate or commercial law (international experience is a plus).
• Strong command of English (written and verbal); French is a plus.
• Ability to draft contracts in English.
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of intellectual property law is a bonus.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
• A global mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
