Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

Attica Group is seeking a motivated Junior Legal Counsel to join its Legal, Insurance and Corporate Affairs Directorate. You will work alongside experienced lawyers on a variety of corporate, commercial and maritime matters that support the Group’s operations and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and support the negotiation of commercial agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial and maritime issues across the Group.
• Assist with corporate secretarial tasks, including preparation of Board of Directors and General Meeting documentation.
• Support shipping, maritime insurance and claims-related matters.
• Conduct legal research and monitor developments in Greek and EU legislation, including data protection and privacy.
• Help manage claims, disputes and litigation in cooperation with senior team members and external counsel.
• Collaborate with business units to deliver practical, commercially‑oriented legal advice.

Required profile

• Law degree from a Greek or recognized foreign university.
• Qualification as a lawyer in Greece and membership in a Greek Bar Association.
• Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Interest in shipping, maritime law, corporate and commercial matters.
• Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong legal research, analytical and drafting abilities.
• Post‑graduate degree (LL.M.) and prior exposure to maritime or corporate law are assets.
