Junior Cyber Strategy & Architecture Consultant (Fluent German required)

About the role

NVISO is looking for a motivated Junior Cyber Strategy & Architecture Consultant to join its security consulting team. You will work alongside senior consultants to help organisations improve their security posture across enterprise, cloud and hybrid environments. Fluency in German is required to support German‑speaking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining information security architectures and mapping business functions to security controls.
• Perform architecture, maturity and gap assessments and produce actionable improvement plans.
• Translate business, risk and compliance requirements into technical controls and architectural principles.
• Support identity and access management projects, including reviews of Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Conduct hardening exercises, automate compliance checks and develop scripts (Python.NET, PowerShell) and infrastructure code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Stay current with industry standards and provide guidance on security architecture for on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Help clients achieve and maintain compliance through semi‑automated GRC‑as‑Code solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
• Strong interest in cyber security and willingness to work in a client‑facing environment.
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and proficient English.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA‑Security, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, AZ‑900) are a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Python.NET, PowerShell scripting.
• Infrastructure automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of security architecture patterns and principles.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID and IAM concepts.
• Understanding of architecture frameworks such as SABSA or TOGAF.
• Basic networking and directory services knowledge.
