IT Support Associate – Technical Help Desk

About the role

The IT Support Associate will serve as the first point of contact for all IT‑related issues at the Thisvi plant. You will provide both remote and on‑site assistance, ensuring that hardware, software and applications run smoothly for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage tickets through the corporate service‑desk system.
• Deliver first‑level technical support to end users, both remotely and on‑site.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, peripherals and related software.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems in collaboration with the Network and Systems Engineering team.
• Escalate incidents when necessary and follow them through to resolution.
• Support software design, development and maintenance to meet business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role, preferably in a production environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and general IT service‑management practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
• PC hardware, peripherals and mobile device support.
• TCP/IP, DNS networking concepts.
• Active Directory, Windows Server and SQL basics.
• Hyper‑V virtualization (nice to have).
• SAP client‑side support (nice to have).
• Experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite databases.
