Agentic AI Solution Engineer

About the role

DEUS EX MACHINA is a bioinformatics company that combines AI, ML and analytics to accelerate food and biological data analysis. We are looking for an Agentic AI Solutions Engineer to design, integrate and operationalise autonomous AI agents across our products and internal workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy autonomous agentic workflows for internal operations and customer‑facing products.
• Integrate large language models with APIs, databases, document stores and internal tools.
• Develop reusable components for prompting, tool calling, memory, retrieval, evaluation and monitoring.
• Prototype rapidly while ensuring reliability, observability, security, latency and cost efficiency.
• Measure model behaviour, including failure modes, hallucination risk and performance trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience building software solutions and working with AI/ML technologies.
• Strong Python programming skills and solid grounding in machine learning concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini.
• Deep understanding of agentic patterns: tool/function calling, retrieval‑augmented generation, memory, planning and orchestration.
