IT Infrastructure Engineer – Windows, AD & VMware

About the role

PSI, a leading Contract Research Organization, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join its global Infrastructure & Platform team. Based in Athens, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the core Windows and Linux server environment that supports the company’s worldwide clinical trial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Active Directory, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and related authentication services.
• Manage virtualization, storage and backup platforms, including VMware environments.
• Support enterprise applications such as email/MTA and business systems on both Windows and Linux.
• Oversee infrastructure monitoring, patch management, configuration management and access control.
• Plan and execute OS patching and infrastructure upgrades in line with company policies.
• Lead small to medium‑sized infrastructure projects and contribute to larger initiatives.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, warranties and vendor contracts.
• Produce and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation, procedures and system standards.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Practical experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA.
