Head of Accounting

About the role

Intracom Defense (IDE) is looking for a Head of Accounting to lead its accounting team in Koropi. The role reports to the CFO and requires a detail‑oriented professional with manufacturing experience to ensure compliance with Greek GAAP and IAS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring implementation of accounting standards.
• Supervise preparation of quarterly and year‑end reports, financial statements, tax returns and regulatory filings.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax laws, regulations and court rulings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise financial procedures and support business goals.
• Implement and manage myDATA standards for compliance.
• Monitor expenditures, revenues and budget variances.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of policies, processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar managerial accounting role.
• Deep knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, customs regulations and industry standards.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
