Head of Accounting – Lead Finance Team

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Accounting, preferably with a background in the manufacturing industry, to lead a talented team of accounting professionals and drive excellence in financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee all accounting operations and ensure implementation of accounting standards.
• Supervise preparation of quarterly and year‑end reports, financial statements, tax returns and regulatory filings in accordance with Greek GAAP and IAS.
• Stay up‑to‑date on new tax laws, regulations and court rulings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise financial procedures and support business goals.
• Implement and manage myDATA standards for compliance.
• Monitor expenditures, revenues and budget variances.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of policies, processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with managerial responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations and industry standards.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Ability to travel for short periods in Greece or abroad.
