Experienced Lawyer – Corporate Real Estate Law

About the role

Karatzas & Partners is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its Real Estate team. The role focuses on complex real‑estate M&A transactions, corporate transformations and asset deals for national and multinational clients in Greece.

Key responsibilities

• Take a leading role in pioneering real‑estate projects, especially M&A transactions in Greece.
• Conduct risk assessment, due diligence and advise on complex real‑estate and contract matters.
• Manage a variety of real‑estate‑related M&A and asset transactions, providing counsel to large corporate clients.
• Coordinate and supervise junior associates and trainees, guiding research, drafting and due‑diligence workstreams.
• Collaborate with international legal teams and contribute to global workstreams.
• Liaise with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, Commercial Registry, land registries and cadastres on listed and investment‑company matters.
• Develop solutions across civil and corporate law issues for clients.

Required profile

• Qualified Greek lawyer (Greek law degree and bar admission).
• Minimum five years of experience in real‑estate, contract and corporate law.
• LLM in civil or commercial law (or related field) is a strong plus.
• Proven experience advising on corporate matters and handling real‑estate transactions in Greece.
• Experience with construction, lease or concession agreements is advantageous.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Greek real‑estate legislation, including Law 5193/2025.
• Expertise in M&A, due‑diligence and risk assessment for real‑estate deals.
• Ability to supervise junior lawyers and manage transaction teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with international legal teams.
