Assistant Waiter

About the role

Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the leading hotel chain in Greece, is hiring an Assistant Waiter in Rethymno. The role supports the waitstaff in serving guests and keeping the dining area tidy and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the waitstaff in serving food and beverages to guests
• Help set up and clear tables before and after service
• Keep the dining area clean, organised and properly set
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly
• Support the team in maintaining high standards of service and hospitality
• Help with the preparation and presentation of food items as needed

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food service role is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding customer service
• Team-oriented approach and willingness to help others
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is an asset
