Asset & Structured Finance Lawyer (3-8 PQE) – Athens

About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an Asset & Structured Finance Lawyer to join its Athens office. The role is aimed at lawyers with 3‑8 years of post‑qualification experience who have a strong background in asset finance, structured finance and related banking transactions, and who wish to work on sophisticated cross‑border matters for major financial institutions and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of asset finance and structured finance transactions, with a focus on complex, cross‑border deals.
• Represent lenders, borrowers, investors, owners and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Draft, review and negotiate finance and security documentation, including guarantees and security arrangements.
• Structure transactions, advise on corporate matters and coordinate security arrangements.
• Manage transaction workstreams and collaborate with international counsel and other advisers.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support business‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–8 years post‑qualification experience in asset finance, structured finance, banking or a closely related practice area.
• Proven experience on complex and/or cross‑border transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to explain complex legal and transactional issues.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Greek qualification required, additional international qualifications advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, international team environment.
