Accountant

About the role

Intellectica is recruiting an Accountant for a fast‑growing Greek deep‑tech company. Based in Gerakas, Attiki, the role reports to the CFO and works closely with external accounting partners, handling day‑to‑day accounting, payroll and cash‑flow monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle in SoftOne, including journal entries and document filing.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, revenue invoicing, expense documentation and payment processing.
• Reconcile bank, customer, supplier and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Ensure accurate income and expense reporting in line with myDATA requirements.
• Run monthly payroll for 30+ employees and external associates, including ERGANI submissions.
• Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, withholding taxes, VIES) and mandatory reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closings and coordinate with auditors.
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial reports and recommendations.
• Organise the accounting function and liaise with the external accounting office.
• Communicate with clients and suppliers as part of daily financial operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Greek accounting principles and tax legislation.
• Experience with international transactions and exports is a plus.
• Fluency in Greek and English.

• SoftOne ERP (accounting module).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Payroll processing.
• Tax declaration preparation (VAT, withholding, VIES).
