Accounting & Financial Controller

About the role

Upstream is seeking a motivated Accounting & Financial Controller to join its Financial Reporting team. You will be responsible for controlling activities across regional entities, preparing monthly IFRS reporting packages, and supporting the Group’s consolidation process while reporting directly to the Group Controller in Athens.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and review accounting books, records, and entries in SAP.
• Review payments and purchase‑order schedules.
• Coordinate with external tax and accounting consultants to ensure compliance with tax, accounting, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly IFRS reporting packages for Group reporting and consolidation.
• Lead the coordination of the annual audit and liaise with external auditors for statutory and Group purposes.
• Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the business with financial reports and special projects.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in an Accounting department or audit firm.
• ERP experience preferred; SAP experience considered an asset.
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus; ACCA qualification preferred.
• Excellent use of MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Advanced communication skills and fluency in English (oral and written).
• International perspective, high attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
