Technical Project Manager – Generative AI (Horizon Europe)

About the role

As a Technical Project Manager with a focus on Generative AI, you will lead complex AI projects funded by Horizon Europe and EDF, ensuring scientific objectives, contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of Horizon Europe, EDF and internal GenAI projects, covering planning, execution, monitoring and reporting.
• Define and maintain project milestones and deliverables in line with EU requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams of AI researchers, software engineers and domain experts across multiple EU countries.
• Oversee preparation and submission of research proposals, deliverables and exploitation plans.
• Translate complex GenAI concepts into clear communication for non‑technical audiences.
• Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving blockers to keep delivery schedules on track.

Required profile

• BSc and MSc in Computer Science, AI, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of project‑management experience in technology or research‑driven environments.
• Proven experience managing EU‑funded R&D projects (Horizon Europe / EDF) and understanding of reporting cycles.
• Strong leadership, analytical mindset and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced research setting.

Required skills

• Generative AI technologies: LLMs, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, decision tracing.
• Project‑management tools: Asana.
• Programming and AI development: Python, LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI API.
• MLOps and deployment pipelines: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
