Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead the tax function of a leading construction group. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own all tax compliance, risk management and advisory activities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the Group’s tax matters, ensuring compliance with Greek tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes and related obligations.
• Review tax returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation for accuracy and timely submission.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the Group’s operations and projects.
• Manage tax audits and coordinate communication with tax authorities, external auditors and advisors.
• Provide tax guidance on construction projects, contracts, investments and corporate transactions.
• Identify potential tax exposures and proactively manage tax risks.
• Handle transfer pricing and intercompany tax matters where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with CFO, Accounting, Finance and Legal on complex tax issues.
• Drive improvements in tax processes, controls and documentation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional tax experience, preferably in a large corporate, construction/real‑estate environment or a leading tax advisory firm.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek tax legislation, corporate taxation and VAT.
• Strong experience in tax compliance, tax audits and handling complex corporate structures.
• Fluency in Greek and English with strong analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.
