Senior Software Engineer – Integrations Platform

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations team, building the connections that bring Elastic into the AI ecosystem. You will work on developer‑facing surfaces such as language clients, CLI, MCP server and third‑party integrations, helping developers discover and use Elastic easily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its Go‑based infrastructure.
• Build the universal agent‑skill platform, including portable formats, authoring tools and linting pipelines.
• Define correctness criteria and implement evaluation‑driven testing for skills and tools.
• Create and ship integrations that embed Elastic inside third‑party AI ecosystems, collaborating with product teams and external partners.
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency.
• Maintain libraries and tools for the Elastic Stack using Go, Rust and other languages.

Required profile

• 8+ years of backend, services or library engineering experience.
• Strong product thinking with a focus on developer usability.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including with customers and partners.
• Willingness to work remotely as part of a globally distributed team.

Required skills

• Go (primary language) and familiarity with Rust.
• Client‑server networking, HTTP and RESTful APIs.
• AI/ML frameworks, large language models, agents and MCP protocol.
• Evaluation‑driven correctness testing.
• Telemetry and observability concepts.
