Senior Internal Auditor – Financial Services

About the role

As a Senior Internal Auditor you will join ABC Factors, a subsidiary of Alpha Bank Group, and help ensure effective governance, risk management and internal controls across the company. You will plan and conduct risk‑based audits, provide independent assurance and support continuous improvement of operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk‑based annual Internal Audit Plan and monitor its implementation.
• Plan and perform risk‑based audits, assessing the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Identify and evaluate key risks and controls, focusing on credit lending, credit risk and other business areas.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings, risks and recommendations for Management and the Audit Committee.
• Follow up on audit recommendations and monitor timely implementation.
• Build effective relationships with business units to support audit engagements and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with Alpha Bank Group Internal Audit to align practices and streamline procedures.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory developments, internal audit standards and industry practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of internal audit experience in a financial institution, with strong exposure to credit lending and credit risk.
• Experience auditing accounting, finance, operations, non‑financial risks and/or KYC/AML.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field; certifications such as CIA, ACCA, FRM or CFA are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory framework (BoG, CRR, EBA, ECB) and factoring products.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with ability to work independently.
• Fluent English and proficient in MS Office.
