Senior AI Engineer - GenAI & LLM Solutions

About the role

Netcompany, a digitalisation consultancy with over 8,900 professionals across Europe, is hiring a Senior AI Engineer in Athens. The role is central to designing, developing and deploying GenAI and LLM solutions for enterprise clients, with strong client exposure and collaboration with AI Architects, product owners and client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy end-to-end GenAI and LLM-based applications in enterprise environments
• Implement RAG pipelines, orchestration workflows, prompt engineering strategies and evaluation frameworks
• Build scalable backend services and APIs connecting LLM solutions with CRM, ERP and data platforms
• Contribute to architectural design and ensure alignment with technical standards
• Optimize model performance, latency and cost efficiency on cloud platforms
• Set up testing, evaluation, monitoring and observability for AI systems in production
• Work with data engineers, software engineers, DevOps and business stakeholders, and support client workshops and demos
• Ensure security, compliance and responsible AI practices, and stay current with GenAI tools and best practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML or software engineering with strong AI exposure and production-grade results
• Proven hands-on experience with GenAI and LLM solutions, including prompt engineering, RAG and evaluation techniques
• Experience deploying AI systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with CI/CD and MLOps
• Plus: consulting or systems integration background, familiarity with LlamaIndex or LangGraph, LLM monitoring and AIOps, exposure to AI governance, and experience with commercial and open-source LLMs
