Data & AI Governance Consultant (Senior-Lead)

About the role

Netcompany is hiring a Data & AI Governance Consultant (Senior-Lead) in Athens. You will help establish and evolve data and AI governance practices that strengthen data quality, ensure regulatory compliance and promote responsible AI adoption, working with multidisciplinary teams to turn governance requirements into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and manage governance platforms such as IBM Knowledge Catalog, Collibra and Microsoft Purview
• Design and implement policies on data classification, access control, ownership and responsible data usage
• Develop metadata assets, business glossaries, data lineage and data stewardship models
• Define and monitor data quality metrics and support compliance with regulations such as GDPR
• Contribute to AI transparency, model lineage, fairness, explainability and auditability
• Document governance processes, prepare functional documentation and deliver training and onboarding
• Work with IT teams, data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management or a related field
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations, especially GDPR, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with cloud environments, ideally IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Strong documentation and communication skills, and the ability to explain data concepts to business and executive audiences

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with IBM Knowledge Catalog, Collibra or Microsoft Purview
• Understanding of data catalogs, metadata management, data quality, data lineage and data stewardship
• Plus: certifications in a data governance platform or DAMA CDMP/DAMA-DMBOK, IBM Cloud Pak for Data, FSD writing, basic SQL, and Responsible AI tools such as IBM Watson OpenScale
