Junior Software Engineer / Consultant

About the role

Netcompany is recruiting a Junior Software Engineer/Consultant based in Athens. You will combine hands-on development with client-facing advisory work, helping shape digital solutions for public and private sector clients across Europe. You will join agile teams delivering large-scale IT transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in all phases of IT projects, from requirements analysis and solution design to development, UAT testing and user training.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• Design, build and maintain enterprise applications using Java, C#, JavaScript and TypeScript, with Spring Boot.NET, React.js and Angular.
• Contribute across backend, frontend and system integrations, and support the implementation of CRM/CX platforms.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions, own workstreams, and take part in agile ceremonies.
• Build long-term client relationships, identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, and share knowledge and mentor colleagues.
• Produce clear technical and functional documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a client-focused mindset.
• Excellent English communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations.
• Ability to collaborate in international, cross-functional teams and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel when needed.
