Secondary Education Teacher

About the role

The Secondary Education Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering and assessing lessons for secondary‑level students while supporting their academic and socio‑emotional development. The role involves close collaboration with the academic team, psychology department and parents to ensure a safe, inclusive and high‑performing learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and email lesson plans to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare class materials, maintain an up‑to‑date grade book and enter grades on schedule.
• Design monthly assessments, grade assignments and monitor homework boards.
• Supervise playground duties and keep the classroom decorated with relevant materials.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioral or special‑needs issues.
• Participate in teacher meetings, workshops, parent meetings and school events.
• Record daily attendance and organize subject‑specific portfolios.
• Promote student participation in sub‑committees, community service projects and fundraising activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Advanced proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Commitment to safeguarding, diversity, equity and inclusion principles.

Required skills

• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Proficiency with digital teaching tools and platforms.
