Rolling Stock Engineer – Maintenance Planning & Technical Support

About the role

The Rolling Stock Engineer will support the Engineering Department in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of the company’s fleet. Working on‑site in Athens, you will monitor maintenance activities, analyse technical issues, and help optimise maintenance instructions and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, monitoring, and updating maintenance schedules based on fleet usage and operational evolution.
• Oversee implementation of technical specifications and maintenance instructions for preventive and corrective work, and prepare related technical reports.
• Monitor reported failures, conduct root‑cause analysis, and propose corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with national and international regulations (ECM, RIV, GCU).
• Conduct technical studies on fleet vehicles and associated equipment.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous experience in facilities or equipment maintenance is desired.
• Familiarity with railway systems, operational procedures, and safety standards (ISO, CENELEC).
