Field Service Technician – Greece & EMEA

About the role

Eaton is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support its operations in Greece and selected projects across the EMEA region. Based in the Athens area, the role involves on‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of Eaton power equipment, with occasional travel throughout EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of UPS and related power equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on UPS systems, providing timely resolutions to minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the installed base.
• Execute commissioning tasks for data‑center projects following Eaton’s safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on complex issues and escalate when necessary.
• Document service activities, write technical reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors or on‑site teams to complete service tasks.

Required profile

• Technical education in electrical installation or a related field with relevant certifications.
• 5+ years of experience working with UPS systems; data‑center experience is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Three‑phase electrical installation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP.
• Programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, process control).
• Understanding of switch panels and related equipment.
