L1 Cyber Security Analyst – SOC (Entry Level)

About the role

Obrela is seeking an L1 Cyber Security Analyst to join its Security Operations Center (SOC). This entry‑level position focuses on monitoring and analysing security events, performing first‑level investigations, and supporting incident escalation while working alongside experienced security professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security events using leading SIEM technologies.
• Perform real‑time event and log analysis to detect potential incidents.
• Conduct first‑level investigation and triage of security alerts.
• Escalate incidents to Level 2 analysts according to established procedures.
• Document investigations accurately and support the incident management process.
• Follow operational guidelines and contribute to maintaining SOC service quality.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on a rotational 24x7x365 shift schedule.
• Understanding of common attack techniques targeting applications, systems, and networks.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows and Linux operating systems, and basic network security concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both Greek and English.
• Motivation to learn and develop within a security‑operations environment.
