Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Netcompany, a provider of digitalisation services to EU institutions and public and private organisations, is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer in Athens. You will join agile, highly skilled software product development teams that design, develop, deploy and support web and digital applications for sectors such as FinTech, betting, insurance, telecommunications, utilities, retail and EU institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work in an agile team supporting the development, deployment and testing of web and backend applications.
• Perform a full range of complex CI/CD tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Keep up to date, learn and gain experience in new technology stacks.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or another relevant discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Containers (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins) and familiarity with building and running CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, React, microservices architecture, Kafka, Redis, Elastic and cloud environments is mentioned as used in the team.
