About the role
Light & Wonder is seeking a motivated Java Software Engineer to join its digital team that powers one of the world’s largest iGaming platforms. You will work in an agile environment, delivering high‑quality code that supports both on‑premise and cloud‑based services.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based functionality following established coding standards.
- Write unit and integration tests for your code and contribute to peer code reviews.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements to production deployment.
- Refactor existing code to improve reliability, performance, and operability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile, sprint‑based setting.
Required profile
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 3‑4+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Proven experience working in agile teams (minimum 3 years).
- Hands‑on experience with RESTful services using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with both relational (SQL) and non‑relational databases.
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
