IT Support Engineer

About the role

ALUMIL is seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join its dynamic IT department. In this role you will deliver high‑quality technical support, ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software and network systems while working directly with end‑users to troubleshoot issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely first‑level IT support to users, addressing hardware, software and network problems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems and business applications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and inventory of IT assets.
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and upgrades.
• Train and guide users on IT policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Team player who can also work independently when needed.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware.
• Strong knowledge of software and common office applications.
• Fundamentals of networking.
• Experience with Windows operating systems.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
