Information Security Officer

About the role

Dorian LPG is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Information Security Officer to protect its corporate, cloud, vessel and third‑party IT environments. The role will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s information security program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enforce security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Define and monitor the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
• Promote security awareness across shore offices and vessel personnel.
• Maintain security documentation, risk registers, incident records and compliance evidence.
• Conduct risk assessments for IT systems, cloud platforms, vessel environments and third‑party services.
• Support compliance with IMO cyber risk management, ISO 27001, company SMS and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor security alerts from Microsoft Defender, SIEM, endpoint protection, email security, firewalls and vulnerability management tools.
• Investigate suspicious activity, phishing, malware and policy violations.
• Coordinate remediation with IT administrators, vendors and service providers.
• Maintain and improve the incident response process, document incidents and lessons learned, and escalate critical events.

Required profile

• University degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, governance or infrastructure security.
• Practical knowledge of maritime IT/OT considerations, Microsoft cloud security and compliance frameworks.
