Indirect Tax Advisor (Legal Background)

About the role

EY Greece is seeking experienced tax professionals with a legal background to join its award‑winning Indirect Tax team. You will work on VAT, customs, excise duties and tax controversy projects for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality indirect tax advice and controversy services, including VAT, customs and excise matters.
• Identify and assess tax risks, develop solutions and support clients throughout the resolution process.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and influence client decisions on complex tax issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of professional standards, firm policies and relevant tax legislation.

Required profile

• Legal education combined with solid experience in indirect tax.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and senior colleagues.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and professional development.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of VAT, customs and excise duties.
• Experience handling tax controversy and dispute resolution.
