Human Resources Administrator (Parental Cover)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Human Resources Administrator on a parental‑cover basis to support HR administration for its Country Office in Athens. The role reports to the National Human Resources Officer and works closely with the HR Administration Focal Point and headquarters units.

Key responsibilities

• Process HR transactions and maintain personnel records in compliance with local labor law and IOM policies.
• Support payroll, social security, and benefits administration for staff.
• Assist with EU audit requirements and national funding reporting.
• Coordinate with headquarters and administrative centers on HR matters.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice to staff and managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with four years of experience.
• Previous experience in a similar HR administration role.
• Strong knowledge of Greek labor legislation and social security schemes.
• Familiarity with EU audit processes and funding mechanisms is an asset.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience using the WAVE HR system (preferred).
