Houseman – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Houseman provides high‑quality housekeeping services across guest rooms and public areas of a luxury resort, ensuring every guest experience exceeds expectations. This role combines meticulous cleaning with warm, professional guest interaction in a dynamic, upscale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional housekeeping services in guest rooms, corridors, pantries, buggies and other service areas.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Perform general and deep cleaning of furniture, carpets, rugs, walls, ceilings, windows, metalwork and wooden surfaces.
• Handle linen operations: collect soiled items, distribute clean linen, replenish par stock and assist with storage.
• Remove trash and ensure correct disposal from rooms, poolside and service zones.
• Deliver guest‑requested items such as towels, cribs or extra beds and assist with setup.
• Support housekeeping staff with heavy lifting during intensive cleaning periods.
• Maintain organized, clean storage areas and report defects promptly.
• Adhere to grooming standards and uphold a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Maintain accountability for assigned master key and other delegated responsibilities.

Required profile

• High school education.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is an advantage.
• Effective communication with guests, coworkers and managers.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules.
• Positive attitude and professional body language at all times.

Required skills

• Proper use of cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
