Senior Professor of Hotel Management

About the role

The Senior Professor of Hotel Management will deliver high‑quality, industry‑driven education to undergraduate, postgraduate and executive students. Leveraging extensive executive hospitality experience, the role blends academic rigor with practical expertise to prepare future leaders of the hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

• Teach modules covering hotel operations, rooms division, front office management, hospitality strategy, service excellence, performance management, technology and PMS systems.
• Design and deliver engaging, student‑centred learning using business simulations, case studies, operational scenarios and experiential projects.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments and learning materials aligned with programme outcomes.
• Mentor and advise students, supervise capstone projects, dissertations and applied consulting assignments.
• Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement, integrating topics such as AI, sustainability, revenue optimisation, digital guest experience and data analytics.
• Maintain strong industry connections, organise guest speakers, company visits, internships and represent the institution at hospitality conferences.

Required profile

• Doctorate or equivalent professional qualification in Hospitality Management or a closely related field.
• Significant senior‑level executive experience in hotel or hospitality operations.
• Proven record of teaching excellence at the university level.
• Strong research background with publications in hospitality or tourism journals.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative learning environment.
