Head of Accounting – Greece

About the role

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Head of Accounting for Greece to lead accounting operations across its Greek entities. This senior leadership role offers high visibility and direct exposure to local and regional finance leadership, driving compliance and shaping the future of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee accounting activities across multiple legal entities in Greece.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Guarantee compliance with Greek GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and MyDATA requirements.
• Partner closely with Global Business Services, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, and external auditors.
• Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance to the business.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen internal controls.
• Act as a key contributor to future organizational developments, including anticipated scope expansion.

Required profile

• Class A Licensed Accountant with active Class A signatory rights.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong expertise in Greek GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP and reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of Greek tax regulations and MyDATA.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, or production environment.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, international environment.
