Frontend Engineering Team Lead – Sportsbook

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about leadership to join our Sportsbook Frontend Engineering team. You will support the Engineering Manager, oversee quality assurance and product management, and lead a group of direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with team members to ensure successful project completion and support roll‑out services.
• Enable continuous improvement by providing assistance when needed.
• Plan vacations for direct reports and manage resource availability.
• Hold regular one‑to‑one meetings to help individuals perform at their best and coordinate development with HR.
• Motivate the team to improve performance and ensure ongoing support.
• Lead engineers, developers, designers and other contributors toward successful delivery for customers.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders while keeping business goals in focus.

Required profile

• Development background building highly scalable, containerised services and applications.
• Strong understanding of modern web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular).
• Familiarity with .NET Core, C#, messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and in‑memory databases like Redis and MS SQL.
• Preference for experience with Angular.
• Deep understanding of lean and agile principles for product development.
• Proven ability to build effective teams, motivate, direct and coach staff.
• Strong people‑management and leadership skills.
